Accounting categories can be applied against stock or products and are used to provide another filter for reporting purposes.
NBS Amicus offers two ways to add accounting categories

Manual entry using the Add/Edit Account Category dialogue.

Importing using the Import tool.
To access the Accounting Category dialogue click on File from the Amicus Toolbar, click on Maintenance and then click on Add/Edit Accounting Category.
To create a new accounting category, enter a Code and a Name for the category. The accounting category can then be selected on the Add/Edit Products Details tab and be assigned to the selected product.
Buttons that perform actions on the accounting category screen includes: < and >, allow you to respectively scroll forwards and backwards through the items on the screen one record at a time. To quickly find the first or last items record, click either the |< or >| key respectively. These buttons appear at the bottom of all Add/Edit dialog tabs providing access to all products, customers, suppliers, etc. ',event)">Navigational Arrows, Save, Find, Delete, Clear, Refresh, Close and Help.
