The Enabler is a standalone application which links NBS Amicus to your fuel hardware. Each pump contains a micro controller which performs specific actions linked to the hardware’s usage, i.e. a fuel nozzle handle will be depressed by a customer, which activated the pump, forcing fuel to flow through a hose past a volumetric metre into the customers car fuel tank or canister. The volumetric metre will interact with the pumps microcontroller sending signals to update the pumps displays, etc. The Enabler acts as a medium to talk to the pumps microcontroller from NBS Amicus.

The Enabler contains a management application to interact with pump specific features. Two of the key actions accessible through the Enabler are the setting of pump prices and the management of site modes
