A second example of how NBS Amicus links with third party programs is demonstrated by the Automatic Statistic Reporting function. This function is used to collect statistics relating to ‘over the counter’ sales within pharmacies, and for those statistics to be subsequently sent electronically to the market research company, A C Neilson, for analysis.

It is possible to automatically send the statistics each week by placing a tick mark in the Enable weekly transmission checkbox. It is also possible to transmit the statistics manually – for information on how to do this, refer to Submit Statistics on page 36 in the Administration User guide.

It is likely that you will not want to collect statistics for all of your product range. To nominate the products to include/exclude for statistical purposes, use the Departments to exclude and Departments to include list boxes along with the associated left and right pointing arrows. For example, to exclude products from a specific department, select that department in the Departments to include list box and click the left pointing arrow. The selected department will then appear in the Departments to exclude list box. In a similar fashion, the right pointing arrow is used to move departments in the other direction, that is, from the Departments to exclude list box to the Departments to include list box.

The acronym FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and it refers to the technology that is used to transmit the statistics. Neotechnology Business Systems will supply the information which needs to be entered into the FTP Server Name, FTP Account Name and FTP Account Password fields.

To identify where the statistics are being collected from, enter the appropriate information into the Store Code and Store Description fields.
