About report templates and the Report Designer
ACT! Premium for Web Server includes report templates that you can run, modify, or use as a basis for creating your own templates. Report templates can display contact, group, company, or opportunity information and calculated values such as totals and averages of numeric data.
A report template includes fields that appear in a report, such as your contact’s name, sales information, and future activities. It also includes the ability to draw and use pictures in the report. Report templates are divided into sections that organize your information, such as the Report Header, Page Header, Detail, Page Footer, and Report Footer. Using the Report Designer, you can change the appearance of a report template by adding or modifying fields, objects, or sections, so that they display the information you want in a report. You can print or run a template to create a report containing information you select. Report templates can also be saved to Rich Text Format, plain text, HTML, PDF, or sent to others through e-mail. For information about running a report, see About reports.
You can make changes to objects on a report through the toolbar, dialog boxes, and the Properties window. For information about making changes to objects through dialog boxes, press F1 on the dialog box. For information about making changes to objects through the Properties window, see Using the Properties Window.
