Re-creating a remote database

If you are an Administrator or Manager user for a main database, you can re-create a remote database. You may need to do this if a remote database synchronization period has expired, or if you disabled the remote database.

To re-create a remote database

  1. From the Tools menu, click Synchronization Panel.

  2. In the User Tasks box, click Manage Database.

  3. Select the remote database you want to re-create, and then in the Admin Tasks box, click Recreate Database.

  4. Click Yes at the confirm message prompt.

  5. In the Recreate Database dialog box, in the Database Location field, type a location or click Browse to specify a location to store the database.

  1. (Optional) If you want the database file to be password protected, click File is password protected, type a password in the Password field, and then type the password again in the Confirm Password field.

  2. Click OK.

The Database Recreation in Progress screen appears. The process will take a few minutes. If necessary, you can click Cancel to stop the recreation process.

  1. At the Recreation successful message, click OK.

The re-created database appears in the list with a Status of Active.

  1. Select another database to recreate, or click Home.
