Importing data from other programs

An Administrator or Manager user can import data from other programs using the Import Wizard. See About importing and exporting data for the specific program types. When you import data from other programs, you need to import the contact records, then any group records, and finally any company records. Some programs allow you to import appointments, notes, journal entries, or tasks as ACT! notes or activities.

Read Tips for a successful import before you begin importing.

ACT! accepts only numeric telephone numbers. If you import contact records with alpha-numeric telephone numbers, ACT! displays only the numeric characters in the Phone field.
