Creating and deleting e-mail folders

You can create folders in ACT! e-mail for any system you have set up to use with ACT!. If you use Outlook or Internet Mail, you can manage your folders within ACT! (such as renaming and moving folders) and the other system as well. For Outlook Express and Eudora, you can create the folders in ACT!, but they cannot be managed in the other system.

You can delete folders in ACT!. We recommend that you do not delete the default folders that ACT! creates when you set up an e-mail system to use with ACT!.

To create e-mail folders

  1. In the ACT! E-mail window, click in Folder List.

  2. On the toolbar, click the New tool, and then click Folder.

  3. In the Create Folder dialog box, type the Folder name in the field.

  4. From the list box, select the folder in which to create the new folder, and then click OK.

To delete a folder and its contents

  • From the ACT! E-mail window, select the folder in the Folder List, and then click the Delete tool.
