Using tag mode in the Contact List

Using tag mode in the Contact List

You can tag, or mark, contacts to create a lookup of contacts manually. For example, if you want to send an e-mail to some of your clients and your friends, a general lookup may not produce a list of those contacts since they do not share all of the same information required to generate the lookup. Instead, you could tag those contacts, and then send the e-mail using the lookup of tagged contacts.

To tag contacts

  1. From the Contact List, click the Enable Tag Mode checkbox.

  2. Select the contacts to tag. To tag all contacts in the Contact List, click Tag All.

To untag contacts

  • Click a tagged contact to untag, or click Untag All to untag all tagged contacts.

To omit tagged contacts

  1. From the Contact List, click the Enable Tag Mode checkbox.

  2. Tag the contacts you want to remove from the Contact List, and then click Omit Selected.

To create a lookup of tagged contacts

  1. In the Contact List, click the Enable Tag Mode check box.

  2. Tag the contacts to include in the Lookup, and then click Lookup Selected.
