Checking names before sending e-mail messages

ACT! Premium Web 2005 Server

Checking names before sending e-mail messages

When addressing an e-mail message, you can select a recipient's name from one of your address books, or you can type the recipient's name or e-mail address into the To, Cc, or Bcc fields. When you type an address or name and then TAB out of the field, ACT! Premium for Web Server automatically checks to ensure the name or address exists in your address books. You can also check names manually.

To manually check names

  • After typing e-mail addresses or names into the To, Cc, or Bcc fields, click the Check Names tool on the toolbar.

E-mail addresses or names found in one of your address books will be underlined; those not found, are not underlined. When you send the message, you are prompted to add any e-mail addresses that were not found.
