Understanding your e-mail system's offline behavior
Depending on the e-mail system(s) you use, how e-mail works in the offline mode differs. The following sections explain the typical behavior of working in offline mode for each system ACT! supports.
Microsoft Outlook and Eudora
Online and offline settings are controlled by these e-mail systems, not by ACT!.
Messages you create and send remain in your Outbox until you are connected to that e-mail system's mail server.
Outlook Express or Internet Mail
When you use these e-mail systems, we recommend that you switch to offline mode when not connected to the Internet. |
These e-mail systems use the same connection settings for Internet Explorer that are set in the Internet Options Control Panel.
ACT!'s online and offline settings share these e-mail systems' settings. For example, if Internet Explorer or Outlook Express is set to work offline, ACT!'s e-mail is also set to work offline.
Messages you create and send remain in your Outbox until you are connected to the Internet.
