Setting the default auto-fill name option

You can set an option for ACT! to auto-fill the name when you write an e-mail message. If enabled, auto-fill will suggest names as you start to type the contact's name or e-mail address in the To, Cc, or Bcc fields.

To set the auto-fill name option

  1. From the Tools menu, click Preferences.

  2. Click the E-mail tab, and then click Composing Options.

  3. In the Auto-fill name box, to enable auto-fill, select Use auto-fill to suggest names by.

  4. From the list, select one of the fields for ACT! to find suggestions to complete recipient information. Press F1 for field definitions.

  1. To display the contact's full information in the To, Cc, or Bcc fields, select Display full contact information.

  2. Click OK.
