About activities
When you schedule an activity with a contact, you can set an activity alarm, write details about the activity, and set the activity as recurring. In addition, after the activity has occurred, you can reschedule or clear the activity, track activities with specific contacts, or schedule a follow-up to a cleared activity. Some of the other options available with activities are associating the activity with groups and companies, scheduling an activity series, customizing your activity types, sending invitations to users in the database, and e-mailing an activity to your contacts.
Activity types are: Call, Meeting, To-do, Personal Activity, and Vacation. You can also add custom activities. Users using a remote database cannot add or modify custom activity types. |
You can view and clear your activities on the Task List, calendars, or an individual contact's tab. Once an activity is cleared, a history is created, and you can view the history of the activity on the contact record's History tab.
