Inserting files into documents

To insert a file

  1. If necessary, open the document.

The document appears in the word processor.

  1. Position the cursor where you want to insert the file.

  2. From the Insert menu, click File.

  3. In the Open dialog box, locate the file, and then click Open.

The text from the file appears at the insertion point. You can use the buttons on the toolbar to format the document.
