ACT! Premium Web 2005 Server

About keyboard shortcuts

You can assign keyboard shortcuts to commands to minimize keystrokes for common procedures.

When you create or change a shortcut for any of the primary Contact view commands listed below, ACT! Premium for Web Server also applies the new shortcut to the related Group view and Company view commands. However, you can assign different shortcuts for the group and company commands after you have assigned the contact shortcut.

Scenario 1

You want Ctrl+Shift+C to insert a new contact in Contact view, insert a new group in Group view, and insert a new company in Company view.

In Customize Menus and Toolbars, assign Ctrl+Shift+C to Insert Contact.

ACT! Premium for Web Server automatically assigns Ctrl+Shift+C to Insert Group and Insert Company.

Scenario 2

You want Ctrl+Shift+C to insert a new contact, but you want Ctrl+Shift+G to insert a new group, and Ctrl+Shift+P to insert a new company.

In Customize Menus and Toolbars, assign Ctrl+Shift+C to Insert Contact.

ACT! Premium for Web Server automatically assigns Ctrl+Shift+C to Insert Group and Insert Company, but you can change this. Select Insert Group and assign Ctrl+Shift+G, and then select Insert Company and assign Ctrl+Shift+P.
