Creating and deleting groups

To create a group

  1. Display the Group Detail window.

  2. From the Groups menu, select New Group.

  3. In the Group field, type a name for the new group. Be sure not to duplicate an existing group name.

  1. In the Group Description field, type a description for the group.

You can enter up to 128 characters in this field.

To delete a group

  1. In the Group List, select the group or subgroup that you want to delete.

Display the Group Detail window for the group you want to delete.

  1. From the Groups menu, select Delete.

  2. From the Delete Group dialog box, click Yes to delete the current group.

The group, including all of its notes, history, and pointers to attachments, is deleted. The contacts that are members of the group are not deleted.
