Creating duplicate groups

You can easily create a duplicate group from an existing group. A reason for doing this might be that you want to use the members of an existing group for a new group. Once the group is duplicated, you can edit the group name and description, add subgroups, and add new members.

To create a duplicate group

  1. Do one of the following:

  • Open the Group Detail window of the group you want to duplicate.

  • From the Group List window, select a group.

  1. From the Groups menu, click Duplicate.

  2. In the Duplicate Group dialog box, select one of the options for duplicating data from primary fields or all fields, and then click OK.

The Group Detail window displays.

  1. In the Group name field, type the new group's name.

  2. In the Description field, type the description for the new group.
