Creating headers and footers in documents

To create a header or footer in a document

  1. If necessary, open the document.

The document appears in the word processor.

  1. From the View menu, click Header/Footer.

  2. In the header, type the text you want to include, and use the Insert menu to insert the date, time, page number, or image. For more information on inserting the date or time, see Inserting the date or time. For more information on inserting an image, see Inserting an image into a document.

  3. To enter information in the footer, from the shortcut menu, click Switch.
