Inserting images into documents

To insert an image

  1. If necessary, open the document.

The document appears in the word processor.

  1. Position the cursor where you want to insert the image.

  2. From the Insert menu, point to Image, and then select Fixed Position to insert an image that remains at the insertion point (text wraps around the image), or select Character Position to insert an image that moves with the text.

  3. In the Open dialog box, locate the file, and then click Open.

You can resize a Fixed Position image, but you cannot resize a Character Position image. For more information, see Resizing an image in a document.
