Creating companies from contacts

Creating a company from a contact duplicates all of the appropriate company information.

To create a company from a contact

  1. Display the contact record from which you want to create a company.

  2. From the Groups menu, point to Companies, and then click Create Company from Contact.

The Company Detail window appears with the Company, Address, and Web Site fields completed, and the original contact is listed on the Contacts tab.

  1. Complete additional fields as necessary.

  2. Click the Add/Remove Contacts button to add more contacts to the company, or delete existing contacts from the company.
