Creating a quote for opportunities

You must have Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word 2000, 2002, or 2003 installed to generate opportunity quotes.

To create an opportunity quote from the Opportunity dialog box

  1. Open an opportunity. While in the Products/Services tab of the opportunity, click the Quote button.

  2. If you set quote preferences to prompt you for a quote number, type the number in the Quote Number field, and then click OK. For information about quote preferences, see Setting quote preferences.

ACT! generates the quote and displays it in Microsoft Word.

The quote numbers do not increment.

To create an opportunity quote from the Opportunity List

  1. From the navigation bar, click the Opportunity List button.

  1. Select the opportunity for which you want to create a quote.

  2. Click the Create Quote button.

  3. If you set quote preferences to prompt you for a quote number, type the number in the Quote Number field, and then click OK. For information on quote preferences, see Setting quote preferences.

The quote numbers do not increment.
