Changing the font attributes in documents

To change font attributes

  1. If necessary, open the document.

The document appears in the word processor.

  1. In your document, select the text that you want to change.

  2. From the Format menu, click Font.

The Font dialog box appears.

  1. To change the font type, select a type from the Font list.

  2. To change the font size, select a size from the Size list.

  3. To change the font style, select Bold, Italic, or Strike out; or select an underline option from the Underlining list.

  4. In the Position box, select Normal to use normal positioning, Superscript to change the selected text to appear slightly above the line, or select Subscript to change the selected text to appear slightly below the line.

  5. To change the text color, select a color from the Text list, or click Other to select a color not shown on the list.

  6. To change the background color for the text, select a color from the Text Background list, or click Other to select a color not shown on the list, and then click OK.

To change font attributes for the entire document, click Select All from the Edit menu. You can change all of the font attributes in one location by clicking Font from the Format menu.
