Adding and discounting opportunity products or services

The currency type used in opportunities is defined by the Windows regional settings when you create your database. Once the database is created, there is no way to change the currency type. |
To add a product or service to an opportunity
Open an opportunity.
Click the Products/Services tab, and then click Add.
The Add/Edit Product/Service dialog box appears.
In the Name list, select a product or service name, or type a product or service name.
In the Item # list, select the item number of the product or service.
In the Quantity field, type the number of units of the product or service assigned to the opportunity.
In the Price field, the price of the product or service from the Manage Product List displays, or you can type a new price for the product.
To give the product or service an adjusted price, type the adjusted price in the Adj. Price field.
To discount the price of the product or service by a percentage, type the percent in the Discount field.
To add another product or service to the opportunity, click Add Another, and then follow steps 3-8 again.
When you have added all products or services, click OK.
To decrease the product price
Open an opportunity.
While in the Products/Services tab, select a product.
In the Adj. Price field, type the discount amount for the product.
or
In the Discount field, type the discount percent for the product. For example, if you want to discount the product by 10%, type 10 in the Discount field.
