Sending e-mail messages to activity participants

When you schedule an activity, you can send the activity details by e-mail to the affected contacts, but you must have e-mail set up to send messages. For more information, see About e-mail.

Users do not receive e-mail messages. Instead, they receive an invitation to accept, tentatively accept, or decline an activity. For more information, see Opening and responding to invitations.

To send an e-mail notification to contacts, each contact must have an e-mail address listed in the E-mail field of his/her contact record.

To send an e-mail message to activity participants

  1. Schedule an activity. While in the Schedule Activity dialog box, click the Options menu.

  1. Select Send activity e-mail to contacts, and then click OK.

An ACT! new message window appears.

  1. Review and modify the activity details, if necessary, and then click Send.
