Checking spelling in ACT! Word Processor documents or templates

You can use the spelling checker feature to identify spelling errors and suggest replacement words.

To check spelling in a Microsoft Word document, template, or quote, refer to Microsoft Word Help.

To check spelling in an ACT! Word Processor document or template

  1. Open the document or template.

  2. To check the entire document, from the Spelling menu, click Check Document.

To check a portion of the document, select the text you want to check, and then from the Spelling menu, click Check Selection.

  1. If the Spell Check finds an unrecognized word, a replacement word appears in the Replace with field. Do one of the following:

  2. To replace the word with the one in the Replace with field, or with one of the suggested words, in Suggestions, select an alternate word, and then click Replace.

  3. To do nothing, click Skip.

  4. To add the unrecognized word to a dictionary, click Add.

  5. To cancel the spelling check, click Cancel.

  1. Repeat step 3 until the Spelling Check Status message appears and indicates that the check is complete.
