Dragging and dropping e-mail messages to contact records

You can drag and drop an e-mail message to a contact record. If you receive the message from a contact that is already in your ACT! Premium for Web Server database, you can attach the message to the History tab. If you receive a message from someone not in your ACT! Premium for Web Server database, you can attach the message to the current contact, or you can create a contact record from the e-mail message.

To drag and drop an e-mail message to a contact record

  1. Display any contact record.

  2. From the ACT! Premium for Web Server E-mail window, select the message.

  3. Hold the mouse button, and then drag the message to the contact record.

  4. If the contact's e-mail address is found in your database, the details of the message display on the contact's History tab.

If the contact's e-mail address is not found, the No Contact Found dialog box appears. Select one of the options, and then click OK. Press F1 for more information.
