Looking up companies

To look up companies

1. From the Lookup menu, point to Companies, and then click one of the company subcommands. For more information about the companies commands and the types of results, see Commands in the Lookup menu.

   If you select All Companies, the results immediately appear in the Company List window. You do not need to complete the remaining steps.

2. In the Look in this field box, from the list, select the field on which to search.

The list shows all company fields that you can search in the database.

3. In the Search For box, type the word to search for, or select a word from the list.  

For example, to find all companies located in Chicago, select City from the Companies submenu and in the Search For box, type Chicago.

4. In the For the current lookup area, select the Replace Lookup option, and then click OK.

The search results are displayed in the Company List. If only one company is found, the Company Detail window appears.
