Exporting ACT! data to another ACT! database
Using the Export Wizard, you can export contact, company, and group records to another ACT! database. You can specify whether to export only the current lookup, the current record, or all records; you can determine field mapping; and you can set merge options for the records.
If you are exporting ACT! data to a new ACT! database, you must create the new ACT! database before you begin using the Export Wizard. One way to do this is to save an empty copy of the ACT! database you are exporting from.
Only users with Administrator or Manager roles can export data using the Export Wizard. |
To export ACT! data to another ACT! database
Open the ACT! database you want to export data from.
From the File menu, click Export. The Export Wizard opens.
Follow the instructions on the screens, clicking Next to advance. Press F1 for more help.
On the Completing Export Wizard screen, read the information, and if correct, click Finish.
If the information is not correct, click Back until you reach the screen that needs correction.
The Exporting Data progress indicator appears. When exporting is complete, the ACT! database containing the exported data is saved in the location you specified.
