I cannot unpack and restore a re-created remote database

Problem:

I cannot unpack and restore a re-created remote database.

Reasons for Problem:

There might be several reasons why the re-created database will not install:

  1. Users might be logged on to the existing database.

Solution: Before continuing, all users must be logged off the existing database before the overwrite can take place. You must check all database connections, including Query Analyzer or Enterprise Manager.

  1. If there are pending changes since the last successful synchronization or the re-created database is older than your last successful synchronization on the existing remote database, all changes made in the existing remote database will be lost.

Solution: You can try to synchronize the existing remote database again to get all changes to the main database and re-create the database again or click Yes to overwrite the existing database and lose the changes.
