Moving objects and fields in layouts

You can move objects from a Contact, Group, or Company window to a tab, or you can move objects from one tab to another.

You can set up options so that objects "snap" or align to gridlines. For information about gridlines, see Showing and hiding gridlines and Turning on Snap to Grid.

To move an object to another layout

1. Open a layout in the Layout Designer window.

2. Select the object(s) you want to move.

3. From the toolbar, click the Cut button.

4. From the File menu, point to Open, and then select the layout you want to move the object(s) to.

5. Click inside the layout or tab where you want to place the object(s), and then from the toolbar, click Paste.
