Adding fields and field labels to layouts
You can add a field and field label to any part of a layout, including most tabs, as long as there is enough space.
|
You can add an existing field to a layout, or you can create a new one to add. You create a field through the Define Fields feature in ACT! Premium for Web Server. For more information about creating fields, see Creating a field. |
To add a field to a layout
From the Toolbox, in the Field tools list, click Field.
|
To add a Memo, Picture, YesNo, Record Manager, or Access field, select the appropriate tool from the Toolbox. |
Position the cross-hair pointer where you want to insert a field, and then drag it to define the field's size.
In the Select Field dialog box, select the field that you want to add. For field definitions, press F1.
|
You cannot add the same field more than once in a layout. |
The Include a Label check box is selected by default. If you do not want to use a field label, clear the check box.
Click Add.
