Changing the spacing of objects in layouts

To change the horizontal spacing of objects in a layout

  1. Open the Layout Designer.

  2. Select two or more objects you want to space horizontally. For information about selecting multiple objects, see Selecting more than one object in a report template or layout.

  3. From the Format menu, point to Horizontal Spacing, and then click one of the following:

  4. Make Equal - This creates equal spacing between three or more objects.

  5. Increase - This increases the space between two or more objects.

  6. Decrease - This decreases the space between two or more objects.

  7. Remove - This removes horizontal spacing.

To change the vertical spacing of objects in a layout

  1. Open the Layout Designer.

  2. Select two or more objects you want to space vertically. For information about selecting multiple objects, see Selecting more than one object in a report template or layout.

  3. From the Format menu, point to Vertical Spacing, and then click one of the following:

  4. Make Equal - This creates equal spacing between three or more objects.

  5. Increase - This increases the space between two or more objects

  6. Decrease - This decreases the space between two or more objects.

  7. Remove  - This removes vertical spacing.
