About sending e-mail messages

You can set message options to determine how and when the output of a database object or data access page is delivered, and the response required from the recipient, in the following ways:

Set the importance and sensitivity level    You can set the level of importance for a message to indicate if the recipient needs to read your message immediately. If you want a reply to your message by a certain date and time, you can set a flag to remind the recipient to respond. You can also mark the sensitivity of the message content as private, personal, or confidential.

Set the security level    If you and the recipients of your messages use Microsoft Exchange Server, you can sign a message with a digital signature, or seal (encode) a message to help ensure that the message is not readable to anyone other than the recipients that you select.

Track messages and replies    You can track your messages by receiving notification when your message is delivered and when it's read by the recipient. To easily find, sort, filter, or group messages, you can assign a keyword or phrase to a message. You can also add voting buttons to a message so that that others vote on an issue through e-mail.

Set delivery options    You can use an expiration date to show that the content of a message is no longer up-to-date. You can have the message saved in a specified folder in Microsoft Outlook after you send it. You can also specify if you want another recipient to receive replies to your message.
