Set a hyperlink base for an Access file

You can set the path of the relative links in a Microsoft Access file by setting the HyperlinkBase property.

  1. Open the database you want to set a hyperlink base for.
  2. On the File menu, click Database Properties, and then click the Summary tab.
  3. In the Hyperlink base box, type the path of the relative link you want to use for all the hyperlinks you create in this database. The path may point to a location on your hard drive, a network drive, an intranet or the Internet.
