  • Click Print Preview Button image on the toolbar.

    The preview depends on the view in which the form is currently open, except when the form is open in Design view. If you preview a form in Design view, you see the form in Form view.

  1. Click Forms Button image under Objects.
  2. Click the form you want to preview.
  3. Click Print Preview Button image on the toolbar.

    You see the form in the view specified by the DefaultView property of the form.

Previewing a report shows you how it will look on the printed page.

ShowPreview the layout of a report

In Layout Preview, you can take a quick look at the layout, which includes just a sample of the data in the report. It does not show the actual data in the report.

  • In report Design view, click the arrow next to the View button on the toolbar, and then click Layout Preview.

Note  If the report is based on a query that prompts you for parameters, you don't need to enter any values; just click OK. Microsoft Access ignores the parameters when you choose Layout Preview.

In Print Preview, you can verify the actual data by reviewing every page in the report.

  1. Click Reports Button image under Objects.
  2. Click the report you want to preview.
  3. On the Database window toolbar, click the Preview button.

ShowPreview a data access page

To preview a data access page, you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later on your computer.

  1. Open a data access page in Design view.
  2. Click the arrow next to the View Button image button and select Web Page Preview.
  3. In Internet Explorer, click Print Preview on the File menu.
