Synchronize two forms by using the Form Wizard

You can use the Form Wizard to create two related forms from scratch.

  1. In the Database window, click Forms Button image under Objects.
  2. Click the New button on the Database window toolbar
  3. In the New Form dialog box, click the Form Wizard.

You don't need to specify the record source for the forms here. You can do this in the wizard.

  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the name of the first table or record source that includes the data you want to base your first form on. Select the fields to be included on your form.
  6. After selecting the fields from the first table or record source in the Form Wizard, repeat step 5 to select another table or record source, and pick fields that you want to include in your second form.
  7. When you have selected all the required fields, click Next.
  8. In the second screen of the wizard, click Linked forms, and then click Next.
  9. Follow the instructions in the wizard. The wizard creates the two related forms; each form contains fields from one of the record sources. One of the forms also has a command button that opens the other form and synchronizes the records between the forms.

If the resulting forms don't look the way you want, you can change them in Design view.
