- Open the form, report, or data access page in Design View.
- Select a control and then click Properties on the toolbar to open the control's property sheet.
- In the Smart Tags property box, do one of the following:
- Click the Build button in the Smart Tags property box to open the Smart Tags dialog box. Click the smart tag that you want to add to the control, and then click OK.
- Type the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the smart tag in the Smart Tags property field.
Note You can add a smart tag to the following control types:
- Label
- Text Box
- Combo Box
- Label
- Bound Span
- Text Box
- Scrolling Text
- Drop-down List
- Hyperlink
Add a smart tag to a table field
- Open the table in Design View.
- Select a field.
- In the Smart Tags property box, do one of the following:
- Click the Build button in the Smart Tags property box to open the Smart Tags dialog box. Click the smart tag that you want to add to the control, and then click OK.
- Type the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the smart tag in the Smart Tags property field.
Add a smart tag to a field in a query
- Open the query in Design View.
- Select a field in the design grid and then click Properties on the toolbar to open the field's property sheet.
- In the Smart Tags property box, do one of the following:
- Click the Build button in the Smart Tags property box to open the Smart Tags dialog box. Click the smart tag that you want to add to the control, and then click OK.
- Type the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the smart tag in the Smart Tags property field.
