Add a smart tag to a control

Microsoft Office Access 2003

  1. Open the form, report, or data access page in Design View.
  2. Select a control and then click Properties Button image on the toolbar to open the control's property sheet.
  3. In the Smart Tags property box, do one of the following:
    • Click the Build button Button image in the Smart Tags property box to open the Smart Tags dialog box. Click the smart tag that you want to add to the control, and then click OK.
    • Type the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the smart tag in the Smart Tags property field.

Note  You can add a smart tag to the following control types:

ShowForm and report controls

  • Label
  • Text Box
  • Combo Box

ShowData access page controls

  • Label
  • Bound Span
  • Text Box
  • Scrolling Text
  • Drop-down List
  • Hyperlink

ShowAdd a smart tag to a table field

  1. Open the table in Design View.
  2. Select a field.
  3. In the Smart Tags property box, do one of the following:
    • Click the Build button Button image in the Smart Tags property box to open the Smart Tags dialog box. Click the smart tag that you want to add to the control, and then click OK.
    • Type the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the smart tag in the Smart Tags property field.

    ShowAdd a smart tag to a field in a query

    1. Open the query in Design View.
    2. Select a field in the design grid and then click PropertiesButton image on the toolbar to open the field's property sheet.
    3. In the Smart Tags property box, do one of the following:
      • Click the Build button Button image in the Smart Tags property box to open the Smart Tags dialog box. Click the smart tag that you want to add to the control, and then click OK.
      • Type the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the smart tag in the Smart Tags property field.
