On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab.
Under Show, select or clear the ScreenTips check box.
For toolbar buttons-
On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Options tab.

Select or clear the Show ScreenTips on toolbars check box.
You can also display a shortcut key combination for the toolbar button. To do this, select the Show shortcut keys in ScreenTips check box.
When the AutoComplete feature is turned on, Microsoft Word will display a ScreenTip when you type the first few characters of an AutoText entry, at which point you can insert the entry or continue typing.
- On the Insert menu, point to AutoText, and then click AutoText.
- Select or clear the Show AutoComplete suggestions check box.
