Copy data validation settings

  • Click the cell with the settings you want to copy, and click Copy Button image.
  • Select the cells for which you want to duplicate the settings.
  • On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
  • Click Validation.

    • Note  You cannot copy or paste data validation within cells of a list that is linked to a SharePoint site.

    Tip

    In the Paste Special dialog box, the All and All except borders options also paste the data validation settings.
