About drawing objects

You can add drawing objects to a Web page, and then resize, rotate, flip, color, add text, specify line styles and shadow styles, and combine objects to make more complex shapes. AutoShapes are drawing objects, located on the Drawing toolbar, that include rectangles and circles, plus a variety of lines, block arrows, flowchart symbols, stars and banners, and callouts. You can also add objects from the Clip Organizer.

When you add text to a drawing object, the text becomes part of the object, and if you rotate or flip the object, the text rotates or flips with it.

All drawing objects have adjustment handles that you can use to adjust the appearance of the drawing object.

As you add drawing objects to your Web page, they stack automatically into individual layers. You can see the stacking order when objects overlap, such as the top of one object covering a portion of one or more objects beneath it.

You can move individual drawing objects or groups of objects in a stack. For example, you can move objects up or down within a stack one layer at a time, or you can move them backward or forward (top or bottom) in one move.

Text boxes are like drawing objects. You can format them to include color, fills, and borders.
