Group data in a Data View

  1. Open a page that contains a Data View.
  2. In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design Button image.
  3. In the Data View Details task pane, click Sort & group.
  4. In the Available fields list, click the fields you want, and then click Add.
  5. Under Sort Properties, click Ascending or Descending.

  6. Under Group Properties, click Show group header.

  7. Do one of the following:
    • To show expanded or collapsed headings for site visitors, click Expand group by default or Collapse group by default.

    • To show a footer at the end of each group that repeats the group title, click Show group footer.
    • To hide the details for each group, click Hide group details.
    • To show all grouped items, even if the total exceeds the specified number of items displayed, click Keep group items together.
