Add a page banner

Important   By default, a page banner displays the page title as displayed in Navigation view. Therefore, before you can use page banners, you must set up the navigation structure of your Web site in Navigation view.

  1. In Page view, place the insertion point where you want to add a page banner.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Page Banner.
  3. Do one of the following:

    ShowDisplay the page banner as text

    1. In the Page Banner Properties dialog box, click Text .
    2. In the Page banner text box, type the text you want to display in the page banner, and click OK.
    3. Right-click the page banner, and then click Font on the shortcut menu.
    4. Set the properties that you want.

    ShowDisplay the page banner text as a picture

    To use a picture, your page must use a theme.
    1. In the Page Banner Properties dialog box, click Picture.
    2. In the Page banner text box, type the text you want to display in the page banner, and click OK.

    Note  The page banner picture that displays is the banner that is associated with the theme for this page.
