Disable automatic form functionality for form fields

Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003

Disable automatic form functionality for form fields

By default, when you insert a form field outside of a form area, Microsoft FrontPage creates a form area with Submit and Reset buttons, and then inserts the field inside the form.

If you want to use form fields with scripts rather than inside forms, you need to first disable this feature by doing the following:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Page Options.
  2. On the General tab, clear the Automatically enclose form fields within a form box to disable automatic forms.

Now you can write a script to use with your form fields and not have to use the FrontPage automatic form area.
