Add a file upload control to a form

  1. In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design Button image.

  2. Place the insertion point where you want to add the file upload control.
  3. On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click File Upload.
  4. In the Destination Folder dialog box, click Create New Folder, and then type the name of the folder.

  5. Press ENTER, and then click OK.
  6. Set the properties of the folder where uploaded files are stored.

    1. In the Folder List, right-click the folder, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
    2. Clear the Allow scripts to be run check box.
    3. Select Allow anonymous upload to this directory.
    4. Select Allow uploaded files to overwrite existing file names if you want existing files to be overwritten.
    5. Click OK.

Notes

  • To use the file upload control, your Web site must be located on a Web server running Microsoft FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions, SharePoint Team Services v1.0 from Microsoft, or Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. Ask your Web server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) whether your server is running these technologies.
  • Site visitors must use Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later or Netscape Navigator 2.0 or later to upload files by using the file upload control.
