Add a data source to the data source catalog
- In Page view, do the following:

On the Data Source Catalog task pane, click to expand the heading for the type of data source you want to add.

Do one or more of the following:
- Under SharePoint Lists, click Create new SharePoint List.
- Select the list you want.
- In the Specify the name for the new list box, type a name for the list.
- Click OK.
- Under SharePoint Libraries, click Create new Document Library.
- Select the library you want.
- In the Specify the name for the new document library box, type a name for the library.
- Click OK.
- Under Database Connections, click Add to Catalog.
- Click Configure Database Connection.
- In the Server Name box, specify the server name where the database is stored.
- Under Authentication, specify the authentication method to use when accessing the server.
- Follow the steps in the wizard to create a database connection.
- Under XML Files, click Add to Catalog.
- In the Location box, type the path of the XML file.

Click OK.
If the specified XML file doesn't exist in your Web site, Microsoft FrontPage will prompt you to import the file into the active Web site.
- Under Server-side Scripts, click Add to Catalog.
- In the Data Source Properties dialog box, type the path into the URL box, select whether to run the script on a Get or a Post by using the Method option, and click the Add button to add the parameters to use when running the script from a Web page.
- Under XML Web Services, click Add to Catalog.
- In the Service description location box, type the URL for the Web service.
- Click Connect Now.
