Set a keyboard shortcut for a field in a form

Once you have inserted a form, do the following:

  1. In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design Button image.

  2. Type text next to the field to create a label for it.
  3. Select the text and the field.
  4. On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click Label.
  5. Select a letter in the field's label to use as the shortcut.
  6. Click Underline Button image.

Notes

  • This feature is enabled only in Web browsers that support Dynamic HTML (DHTML), such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later.
  • Use a unique letter for each shortcut. You may need to rename a field, or choose another letter in the label, to ensure each shortcut is associated with a unique letter.
