Set the background properties of a table
- In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design
. - Right-click the table, and then click Table Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Under Background, do one of the following:
Set the background color- In the Color list, select a color for the table background.
- Select the Use background picture check box.
- Locate and click the file that you want, and then click Open.
Note A background picture in a table displays as a repeated tile unless you use a cascading style sheet to change the display.
