Turn support for scripts on or off
- On the Tools menu, click Page Options, and then click the Authoring tab.
- Do one of the following:
- To turn support for Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) on or off, select or clear the VBScript check box.
- To turn support on or off for ECMAScript as defined by the specification of the European Computer Manufacturers Association, such as JScript or JavaScript, select or clear the JavaScript/JScript check box.
Note If you specify in the Browsers list that your Web site should be compatible with Netscape Navigator only (and select any browser version), or Both Internet Explorer and Navigator, support for VBScript is turned off by default. If you select VBScript anyway, your site visitors might encounter script errors.
