Add a push button to a form

  1. In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design Button image.

  2. Do one or both of the following:

    ShowAdd a push button

    1. Click in the form where you want to place the push button.

If you are inserting a form field but have not already created a form, Microsoft FrontPage automatically creates a form area and inserts the field inside that form area. The form area appears as a dashed line when you are editing the page.

    2. On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click Push Button.

ShowSet the properties of a push button

    1. Double-click the push button.
    2. In the Name box, type a name to identify the button in the form results.

For your form to work correctly, you need to use a unique name for this form field.

    3. In the Value/label box, type the text that will appear on the button.
    4. In the Button type box, select Normal.
    5. Click the Style button to access other options for formatting your form using cascading style sheets as an inline style.
    6. Click the Code button Button image to view the HTML of your page so that you can write a script for your button to give it an action.
