Change the color scheme of a theme
- In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design .
- On the Format menu, click Theme.
- In the Theme task pane, point to the thumbnail for the theme you want to change, and then click the arrow.
- Click Customize, and then click Colors.
- Next to Theme color set, specify whether you want to change colors in the normal or vivid color set.

Do one of the following:
- Select the color scheme you want to use, and then click OK.
- Create a custom color scheme you want to use, and then click OK.
- Click Save As to save the changed theme.
- Type a new name for the theme (unless you have modified a custom theme), and then click OK.
Note When you change a preset theme, you must save your changes as a new theme.
