Add an advanced button to a form

  1. In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design Button image.

  2. Do the following:

    ShowAdd an advanced button

    1. Click in the form where you want to place the advanced button.

If you are inserting a form field but have not already created a form, Microsoft FrontPage automatically creates a form area and inserts the field inside that form area. The form area appears as a dashed line when you are editing the page.

    2. On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click Advanced Button.

ShowSet the properties of an advanced button

    1. Right-click on the button, and then click Advanced Button Properties on the shortcut menu.
    2. In the Name box, type a name.

For your form to work correctly, you need to use a unique name for this form field.

    3. In the Value box, type the value that is to be sent to the form handler.
    4. In the Button Type box, select the type of button you want to use.

If you select Normal, you will need to write a script for the button to have a function.

    5. In the Button Size area, select, in characters, the width and height of the button.
    6. Click the Style button to access other options for formatting your form using cascading style sheets as an inline style.
